Paul Chance draws from his extensive background in psychology to offer college and university students a stimulating resource available for rental in his textbook Learning and Behavior: Active Learning Edition, ISBN 9780495095644. This innovative book focuses on the theme that learning is a biological mechanism that facilitates survival. A scientific approach to behavior is presented through easy-to-understand language that will engage students. An added bonus of this resource is the workbook found at the back of the text which emphasizes the foundational concepts and vocabulary presented in the text. Paul Chance received his Ph.D. in Psychology from Utah State University and began his career as a school teacher for grades 7-9. He has served as an Adjunct Instructor at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and at Salisbury University (Maryland). Chance has also served as Book Review Editor of the Psychology Today magazine, a senior fellow of the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies, and a member of the Association for Science in Autism Treatment advisory board.
