African Studies

Students of African Studies studies need not worry about paying for over-priced textbooks anymore – renting textbooks is an option! African Studies textbooks – for example Civil Society and the Political Imagination in Africa: Critical Perspectives by [Jean Comaroff, John L. Comaroff], and Transition: An International Review 98: Ghana at 50 by [F. Abiola Irele, Tommie Shelby] – are often some of the most frequently updated books by Publishing companies. The field of African Studies is constantly changing, and new editions can come yearly and at a huge cost to students who continually buy new books. So why buy when you can rent cheap textbooks? There are plenty of African Studies books to rent – BookRenter has of them all!

Used book sales can be a cheap option as well, but often can be more expensive than textbook rentals. However, there are very few return policies with used books, and especially when taking African Studies classes, buying a used book can be dangerous and costly.
