The leading genius of this team is that of Evelyne Amon. With her studies at the Université de Paris-Sorbonne, she holds multiple degrees and certifications including a DEA in modern literature, a Diplôme de didactique des langues in French as a second language, and a CAPES in modern literature. Amon has taught French language and literature at both the secondary and college levels, and for many years has also led a training seminar in Switzerland for professors on advances in methodology and pedagogy. She is also a seasoned writer with many reference volumes, textbooks, and academic studies for French publishers such as Larousse, Hatier, Magnard, and Bordas, and she is currently working on a project for Hachette. The second contributor to the efforts on Vis-Ã -vis: Beginning French (Student Edition) is Judith Muyskens. Receiving her Ph.D. from Ohio State University, she currently serves as Provost and Professor of French at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Muyskens has also contributed to various professional publications, including the Modern Language Journal, Foreign Language Annals, and the ACTFL Foreign Language Education Series. She is a coauthor of several other French textbooks, including Rendez-vous: An Invitation to French and À vous d'écrire.The final team member is that of Alice C. Omaggio Hadley. Receiving her Ph.D. from Ohio State University, she is currently serving as a Professor Emerita of French at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Hadley is also a seasoned writer, coauthoring the French text Rendez-vous: An Invitation to French and serving as the author of a language teaching methods text, Teaching Language in Context.
