What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working on a commercial Ruby on Rails application from design to deployment
  • Experience optimizing and scaling web applications
  • Previous startup and e-commerce experience
  • A good eye for UI design using CSS, JavaScript (we currently favor jQuery, HAML, and SASS)
  • A passion for testing and strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Experience using Textmate, Git, Unix systems, and Mac OS X

Minimum Requirements

  • A B.S. in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience developing web applications, ideally using Ruby on Rails, Java, or Python
  • Experience writing automated tests (we use Test::Unit, Shoulda, and Harmony)
  • Experience with continuous integration (we use TeamCity)
  • Experience working with MySQL
