Bruce M. King's Human Sexuality Today, ISBN 9780205015672 has built a reputation as one of the top-selling complete guides to human sexuality. Now in its 7th edition, it has been revised to include visibly appealing color graphics as well as up to date facts and information. This text boasts readability and appeal to a myriad of audiences while presenting information that readers can use in making responsible decisions while learning about their own sexuality. Bruce M. King shares his expertise in Human Sexuality Today, 7th Edition after in-depth research and teaching human sexuality to over 50,000 students. King holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology as well as a Ph.D. in biopsychology. He served as a professor for 29 years at the University of New Orleans and is currently serving as the chair for the Department of Psychology at Clemson University. He is also a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science, American Psychological Association, and the Internal Behavioral Neuroscience Society. King has strategically organized this text into 16 chapters dealing with various topics of human sexuality. Early chapters deal with the basics of human sexual and reproductive anatomy as well as hormones and their part in sexuality. The text then compares and contrast human sexual responses and delves into sexually transmitted infections as well as other sexually related diseases. The inter-related topics of birth control, pregnancy, and childbirth are tackles as well as gender identity and gender roles. Other topics discussed in remaining chapters include sexual orientation, love and relationships, sexual victimization, and lastly, the social and legal issues of selling sex.
