The goal of End of Life Care Issues is to provide an overview of end-of-life care, with an emphasis on the team approach to care; providing compassionate hospice and palliative care; understanding ethical issues; meeting psychological, social, and spiritual needs; addressing cultural considerations; managing symptoms effectively; and using complementary and alternative therapies in end-of-life care. It covers in depth areas such as pain management, death and dying, and physiologic changes. It is broken down into several modules, each with its own testing and nursing CE credits. The course has a total of 26 nationally recognized ANCC contact hour credits available. You must have Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher running on your computer. Supported operating systems are Windows 95, 98, 98 SE, ME, 2000, or XP. You will need Internet access to e-mail us your unique key and receive a password key. License is for one user on one computer. An additional computer owned by the same user will generally be approved at the discretion of the publisher. The book accompanying the CD provides a 226-page text of the CD in a handy format.
